C-SPAN StudentCam Civic Documentary Competition
StudentCam invites middle and high school students to research a national issue, examine evidence and different viewpoints, and produce a short documentary. The next competition is scheduled to launch in August 2026.
Who may be eligible
Start with the requirements
Student Eligibility: Open to students currently enrolled in grades 6–12 (public, private, or homeschool) in the United States, District of Columbia, U.S. territories, and international students of equivalent grade levels. Participants must be 18 years old or younger. Employees and officers of C-SPAN/National Cable Satellite Corporation, C-SPAN Education Foundation trustees, and their immediate family members are not eligible.
